It is an unfortunate fact that however professional and experienced a Removal Company is, there are lots of things that can go wrong with your House Move. After negotiations with the buyers or sellers, liaising with Estate Agents and Mortgage Advisors and sorting out contracts and property deals with Solicitors, the last thing you are looking forward to is the packing and removal of your household and personal effects. What makes it worse, moving is a highly labour intensive Industry and accidents can often happen.
However, by using a Regulated Removal Company you can have peace of mind that if something does unfortunately go wrong with your house move, the removal company will do everything in their power to fix the problem straight away or refer you to their regulating Trade Association if you are still unhappy.
If you see this sign on a Removal Company website it means that they are members of a regulating Trade Association and are therefore bound by certain codes of practice and regulations.
Most of us wouldn’t risk going on holiday with a Travel Agent who is not ATOL protected or use a Gas Engineer who is not a member of Corgi, because we know that it is not safe to do so.
So why would you risk all of your worldly possessions, no matter how valuable, to a removal company who is not accredited and regulated by a recognised Trade Association?
There are many good Removal Companies around the UK and not all of them are regulated.
However, Moving etc… recommends that you only use a Removals Trade Association member from the British Association of Removers or the National Guild of Removers and Storers because they have your best interests at heart.
The Removal, Storage and Shipping Companies recommended on www.movingetc.co.uk mostly believe in honesty and fairness to their clients and they see the benefit of regulation by their Peers. Otherwise they wouldn’t choose to be regulated in a largely unregulated industry.
